Problem
The following error message occurs when editing bindings on a web site to configure an SSL certificate in IIS 7.
"A specified logon session does not exist"
Cause
When importing to the server, the Private Key was not made exportable from a backup file of the SSL certificate.
Resolution
Import the backup file of the SSL certificate again and make sure you tick the box "Allow this certificate to be exported".
