WHAT IS THE TMCH?
ICANN designed the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) as a database of registered trademarks. Its primary responsibility is to protect brands and their intellectual property. It basically allows brands to register their trademark during sunrise, or pre-release, periods before a new gTLD becomes available.
